Simple Easter Card

Hello!  What a crazy week.....I'm taking a break from those mini albums to get my cards ready for the Nursing Home Card making session tomorrow.  As many of you know the cards for the home have to be super easy.  Some of these people can't even squeeze the glue bottles so we try to use stickers when possible but still want to have the cards look nice.  I've decided to bring out of the closet an old sizzix die. An Easter Basket.  This is one of the original steel rule dies that I use to use with the Big Red Sizzix die machine.
Look at all those bright colors!!  I embossed the fronts of the bases with the dotted swiss folder and then cut some scallop strips to represent grass.  All the baskets were cut from purple recollections paper and the eggs are stickers from the local Dollar Tree store.  There is a white layer for the inside of the card.  Plain and simple but cute.  Add a little glitter and bling and you have a more "showy" card.
The dark marks on the basket is because the glitter is still drying but I wanted to get this post out tonight.  Sorry about that.

Well busy day tomorrow and I can't wait to get back to my MINI ALBUMS!!

Till later
HAPPY CARDING!!

  2. OH Susan, my heart literally just swelled and I smiled at the thought of you doing something so generous and kind. What a thoughtful idea to craft with the seniors and these are so sweet. So little time is needed to just sit and help them make a cheerful card - I love this. Blessings to you ♥
