Step Book card

Trying to come up with different fun folds can be a challenge.  But....I love a challenge and today I'm sharing a Step Book card.  At least that's what I'm calling it.  It sort of resembles a Z fold when totally opened.  You need a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock for this card.

First measure out a piece of cardstock 11.5 x 5.5 and another 2.75 x 4.25.  With the 11.5" at top of the score board score at:  .25,    3.75,    and   7.25.   Place the 1/4 " score line at the top of your trimmer and measure to 5/8" mark cutting to the last score mark.  Trim the remainder of this piece off.

Fold as shown:

I have made 2 samples of this.  The first one I used Designer paper that had a few small scenes on it.  It nearly doesn't need any embellishing at all.  Here it is un-embellished:

I then took the same card and used Christmas color papers.  Added some doilies, and snowflakes and a few other embellies and Voila!  Cute fun fold Christmas card.

Not done yet.......Found some My Little Pony paper and decided to make a little girl Birthday card.  How cute is this? Now I just have to decorate it.
I could go on and on but I don't want to bore you too much LOL so for now that's it and we will see what I find next.  Another fun fold????  Maybe........
Til next time.

HAPPY CARDING!

  1. Susan, you are a pro and unique folds/designs on cards. WOW! This looks great!!! (And this one looks easier to me than that Tri-Shutter one that you proved to me wasn't as difficult as it looked.)
